Adela walked down from the Common Room, a little shaken after her talk with Mia. Walking over to a wall, Addie let her back hit and she slid down the wall, her feet going out from under her. Adela felt tears start to fall from her eyes, and so she closed them, hitting her head gently against the wall.
Who was this person? Crying in the Entrance Hall, Adela didn't recognize her, and she was almost afraid of people finding her here. I'm an idiot. I'm isolated. I'm alone.

Cole hummed softly as he walked down the hallway, pausing when he noticed someone on the floor against the wall. It was a quiet day so he found it slightly strange for anyone at all to be in the hallway. He walked closer, soon noticing that it was Adela.
He was quiet as he walked over, soon knealing down infront of his childhood freind. "You look like you need someone to talk to." He smiled as he softly brushed her tears away.

Addie looked up, smiling gently as she recognized the lip piercing of Cole White, her childhood friend. "I just... I need someone to give a d**n that I'm alive..." Adela bit her lip, hard, surprised when Cole reached his hand to her face and wiped her tears from her eyes. Addie looked up at the ceiling, the carved walls of the castle reminding Adela of her childhood home.
Looking back down at Cole, Addie had a hard time not taking his hand like she did when they were kids, so she pushed away her feelings and reached forward, just like when they were very little, so little that some people didn't remember it anymore.

Cole blinked some, taken back by the comment she made. "Hey. I care. Do I mean nothing now?" He asked in a teasing mannor, trying to lightening the mood some and to make Addie feel better, though he wasn't sure what was going on. He tilted his head as he watched her look at the ceiling before once again looking at him and reaching forward.
Cole was slightly shocked but was quick to respond. It had been such a long time but the body and mind never forgets how to comfort a dear freind. Years, since they had been litte kids, but Cole still reached out to Addie, trying to comfort the girl.

Addie laughed, even through her tears, and Cole's comment. Lightly and playfully she pushed him before speaking. "Yes you count! Sorry... momentary brain loss..." Addie smiled as Cole responded, and Addie intertwined her fingers with his own more securely, remembering the way it felt. Adela rested her head back on the stone wall behind her, feeling suddenly tired. It was late, past time anybody should be up, especially Cole, a third year. Addie quickly used her other hand to wipe the rest of her tears from her face before looking back at Cole.
Everything about the younger boy was familiar, the clothing, the lip ring, the face shape. The only thing that had ever changed was his hair. Some days it was long and jet black, others it was medium and blonde with black stripes. Adela smiled gently, as she had often changed her own hair. Now, however, she had a style she liked. Reddish pink striped with black was much much better then her original mousy brown color. Addie sighed gently, looking over at Cole again, dead in his eyes. "I haven't talked to you in a while. How've you been lately?"

Cole grinned at the playful punch and laugh, happy that if even a little he had made Addie's day slightly better. He continued to hold her hand, rubbing his thumb across her hand softly as he went silent. He watched, seeing the slightly happy girl go tired in a second. He shook his head some with a soft sigh.
He blinked and laughed softly at her question. "I've been doing pretty good I guess, better than you for the sounds of it." He smiled softly as he tilted his head, watching her familar face closely, tring to read his childhood friend some. "Come on, why don't we go to the common room and cuddle up on some nice couchs with some candy and catch up." He tilted his head with a smile.

Addie surprised herself with a contented sigh as Cole ran his thumb across the back of Addie's hand. Hearing Cole speak, Adela nodded gently, knowing that it was probably true. That's when Cole spoke again. Talk of cuddling up on the couches together with some candy was very intriguing to Addie, knowing that she had nothing better to do anyways. "You know, the Common Room sounds perfect right about now..." Adela smiled, her energy returning, as if she couldn't wait to get back to the Common Room.
Addie knew that she was attracted to her childhood friend, she had known this for a while, but she didn't want to tell Cole, she didn't want to make anything weird between her and her close friend.

Cole smiled and nodded his head, happy to see that Addie was feeling better from the looks of it. "Greats, off to the wonders of fluffy couches and candies." He grinned and stood up, still holding to Addie's hands to help her out as well. It had been a long time since had talked to the six year and every time he saw Addie she was surrounded by a mass of girls that he dared not go into.
((Sorry, kind of short))

Addie smiled as she pulled herself up, realizing that she ended up closer to Cole then she had anticipated. Adela felt bad, she hadn't talked to Cole in a long time, after all. She was always surrounded by other Scene Queens or some of her other friends. However, aside from Mia, it had been a while since she had seen any of the other Queens. Addie smirked gently as she pulled Cole along jokingly towards the stairs, towards the Common Room. In truth, Adela couldn't wait to get to the Common Room, the room that was undoubtedly deserted by now.

Cole smiled as Addie got up and rolled his eyes as he was pulled along to the Common Room. It brought him back to the older times when they were young and he was always with Addie. He smiled softly as he thought back on the past and wondered what had happened. Guess we just grew up and seperated some...I wonder if we can get back to what we had. Cole thought silently as he walked, still holding to Addie's hand as they made their way to the Common Room.

Addie smiled cunningly at her younger friend. "Don't you go rolling your eyes at me." Here Adela stuck her tongue out playfully, just before they had reached the landing to the Seventh Floor. Addie's breath caught in her throat as she saw someone she despised, Melia, a Slytherin. However, the tall Gryffindor kept a smile on her face and walked with Cole, her hand intertwined with his. Melia smirked and proclaimed loudly, "I'll never know what happened to her. Her parents are Slytherin alumni. Such a shame...." Adela tensed up, obviously angry about the remark about her parents, but just kept walking. Finally, after what seemed like ages, Addie and Cole reached the entrance to the Common Room. Speaking the password quietly, Adela smiled at Cole as the portrait hole swung open.
Pulling him inside gently, the portrait swang shut and Addie's back hit the wall for a moment before straightening up. "God I hate her." Adela's eyes flicked over to Cole, watching his face for a reaction to her words.

Cole rolled his eyes once again grinning some as he walked with Addie. He opened his mouth to speak but paused when he noticed that something was wrong. He glaced around, noticing a slytherin not to far away but he ignored the girl, even more so when said girl talked about Addie and her family. He sighed softly and shook his head, squeezing Addie's hand hand softly as they finally reached the Common Room.
He shook his head some and smiled softly as he watched his childhood friend. "Yeah, well she is just a jelouse wh0re so ignore her." Cole grinned some as he tilted his head.

Addie smiled wearily at her childhood friend as he spoke, laughing gently. "So true... Just bugs me when she talks about my parents like that..." Adela felt her other fist clench as her jaw shook gently, as though she was ready to cry. Breathing slowly and carefully, the tall sixth year tried to stop the tears from coming, and succeeded. Addie walked over to a couch and sat down, pulling Cole down next to her. Crap... closer then I wanted to be... Oh well. I missed him, I haven't seen him in almost a year now.... I want things back to the way that they were before. Adela looked up into Cole's lined eyes and smirked gently, he was always like that, different, not caring what anybody thought of him. He still was that way, and Addie admired him for it.

Cole rolled his eyes as he watched her. "So what if some random girl talks about your parents? You know them better than her, and your happy no matter what right? So why let some simple words bother you?" He followed Addie over to the couch, noticing that she had been holding back tears. "Besides if she bothers you again I'll make her pay." He smiled as he sat down close to Addie, squeezing her hand once more. "No one is going to bother my friends and get away with it." He tilted his head as he watched Addie happy to finally be talking with her once more. Over the year he had been dieing to talk to her and now seemed the perfect time to connect once more. Help Addie feel better and talk again, perfect combo to him.

Addie smiled as Cole said his last words and squeezed her hand, Cole had always known how to make her feel better. This felt good, them being together again after so long. "I missed talking to you Cole." Here Addie bit her lip gently, she hadn't wanted that to come out, but it was the truth. Sighing gently, Adela leaned back onto the squishy couch, it had always been her favorite. Great, I am going crazy. Who has couch preferences? Addie laughed in her mind, but not out loud. If she laughed out loud, she would have to explain, and well.... Addie didn't want to explain that to him... not now.
